Note: Le Moulin de la Galette in Montmartre was a famous “guinguette”, a name given for popular dancing restaurants, close to the house where Utrillo lived in the rue Lepic. It was much beloved by artists such as Renoir, Lautrec, Van Gogh and Picasso. who painted several canvases of the place. Today it has been converted into a fine restaurant - very expensive but very good !
